Bible Classes for Faith and Discipleship

Our classes are designed to help us explore the scriptures more deeply and understand how their teachings apply to everyday life. Each study focuses on a particular biblical theme, doctrine, passage, or aspect of Christian discipleship.

The purpose of these classes is not simply to increase our knowledge, but to strengthen our faith, shape our character, and help us grow in our relationship with God. The lessons examine the scriptures carefully while offering practical guidance for the challenges, responsibilities, and decisions we face.

Whether you are beginning your Christian journey or have studied the Bible for many years, these classes provide an opportunity to reflect, learn, and grow. Topics include faith, forgiveness, prayer, spiritual strength, Christian character, doctrine, and the practical meaning of following Jesus Christ.

We invite you to explore the classes at your own pace and allow the Word of God to encourage, challenge, and strengthen you in your daily walk.

The 10 Commandments

This is a 10-part class exploring the Ten Commandments as God’s spiritual laws and their continuing relevance today. Each lesson examines one commandment in depth, moving beyond outward obedience to consider the motives, desires and attitudes of the heart. The study explores truth, faithfulness, stewardship, relationships, reverence, rest and idolatry, while showing how the commandments reveal sin and our need for God’s mercy through Jesus Christ. It also connects the law with Christ’s command to love God and our neighbour, offering practical guidance for living with greater faith, integrity, responsibility and love.

The Beatitudes

This 8-part class explores the Beatitudes as Jesus Christ’s guide to genuine spiritual transformation. Each lesson examines one statement in depth, including humility, godly sorrow, meekness, righteousness, mercy, purity of heart, peacemaking, and faithfulness under persecution. The study shows how these qualities build upon one another and shape a Christlike character from within. Rather than offering passive ideals, the Beatitudes provide a practical path for daily discipleship, encouraging believers to examine their attitudes, relationships, motives, and choices. This class is valuable for anyone seeking deeper faith, stronger character, greater peace, and a life aligned with God’s will..

Cain and Abel: The Path of Sin and Righteousness

This class explores the story of Cain and Abel as a powerful lesson on worship, motive, sin, and personal responsibility. Through their offerings, we see that God looks not only at outward actions but at the heart behind them. Abel’s faith and sincerity stand in contrast to Cain’s jealousy, anger, and refusal to master sin. The study encourages believers to examine whether they are giving God their best, resisting resentment, and taking responsibility for their choices. It is a thoughtful class for anyone seeking to understand how small attitudes can shape a spiritual pathThe Beatitudes

Repentance

This class looks at repentance as more than regret or a change of words. True repentance involves recognising sin, turning away from it, and turning towards God with a changed heart. Drawing on Scripture, it explores humility, confession, self-examination, prayer, and the ongoing work of spiritual growth. The class encourages believers to face sin honestly while trusting in God’s mercy and grace. It also shows repentance as a daily journey, not merely a one-time event. This teaching is ideal for those wanting a deeper understanding of forgiveness, renewal, and walking more faithfully with God

I AM

This five-part class explores the seven “I AM” statements of Jesus found in the Gospel of John. It examines Christ as the Bread of Life, the Light of the World, the Door, the Good Shepherd, the Resurrection and the Life, the Way, the Truth and the Life, and the True Vine. Each statement reveals something essential about who Jesus is and what He offers to those who follow Him. The class considers how Christ nourishes, guides, protects, saves, restores, and strengthens us, while encouraging us to remain connected to Him and reflect His character in our daily lives.

Forgiveness

This class explores the biblical meaning of forgiveness, beginning with God’s grace and mercy towards us. It considers how God forgives, cleanses, and restores those who confess their sins, and then shows why Christians are called to forgive others. Through passages such as Ephesians 4:32, 1 John 1:9, Psalm 103:12, and Matthew 18, the study highlights kindness, compassion, humility, and reconciliation. Forgiveness is presented not as weakness, but as a reflection of God’s own character. This class is valuable for anyone seeking healing, freedom from bitterness, and a more Christlike way of relating to others.

The Whole Armour of God

This class studies Ephesians 6:10-18 and the believer’s call to stand strong in the Lord. It explains each piece of the armour of God: truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, the Word of God, prayer, and perseverance. Rather than treating spiritual warfare as fear-based, the class presents it as a daily life of faith, integrity, prayer, and dependence on God’s strength. It encourages believers to recognise that the real battle is spiritual and to live with courage, wisdom, and steadiness. This is a practical and strengthening study for Christian discipleship
