What is god actually Like?

What is God actually like? Scripture presents Him as far more than a distant Creator or abstract force. He is eternal, personal, holy, just, merciful and loving, and Christianity teaches that His character is revealed most clearly through Jesus Christ. Understanding what God is like shapes how we see prayer, suffering, morality, forgiveness and our own purpose, and challenges us to know God as He has revealed Himself rather than merely as we might prefer Him to be.

The Unseen Master

Colossians 3:22–24 transforms the way we understand ordinary work. When our labour is offered to Christ rather than performed merely for recognition, even unnoticed tasks gain eternal significance. Faithful work becomes an act of worship, freeing us from the need for approval while calling us to integrity, excellence and wholehearted service.

When We Release the Map

Psalm 37:5 calls us to release our need for control and entrust the road ahead to God. True faith does not require knowing every step or understanding every outcome. It means placing our plans, uncertainties and fears into His hands, trusting that He sees the whole journey and will fulfil His purposes.

Strength for the High Places

God does not always remove the mountains we face, but He gives us strength to walk upon them. Like the sure-footed hind, we can face uncertainty with confidence, trusting that the Lord steadies our steps and sustains us through every challenge with His faithful strength.

The Lord Who Kneels

Jesus did not surrender His authority when He took the towel; He revealed its purpose. Christian greatness is secure enough to stoop, attentive enough to notice ordinary needs, and loving enough to serve unseen. When the Master kneels, His disciples discover that no faithful act of service is beneath them.

Does God Really Exist ?

Belief in God is not a leap taken against reason. Creation, conscience, Scripture and the risen Christ together offer a cumulative witness to the living Creator. Yet evidence does not compel trust like a mathematical proof. God invites seekers to examine the witness, turn from pride and respond in faith.

Love That Bears God’s Likeness

Christian love is more than affection or agreement. It is the visible evidence of a life being shaped by God. When we choose patience over irritation, forgiveness over pride, and truth spoken with grace, others glimpse the character of the One who has made us His own in Christ Jesus.
