Of faith and resilience

Psalm 94:18-19]
18 When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord, held me up.
19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

Thoughts
This selection shows the recognition of our own frailty and the unfailing nature of God’s mercy and comfort. The imagery of slipping suggests a moment of weakness or vulnerability, yet in that very moment, the we see the sustaining power of God’s mercy. This acknowledgment reflects a deep trust in God’s faithfulness to uphold and support us, even when we falter.

“In the multitude of my thoughts” shows the turmoil of inner thoughts, a universal experience in the human condition. Amidst this inner chaos, however, God’s comforts are found to be a source of comfort and delight.
