How do we display the patience that is characteristic of Christ?
First, we thank God. Our first reaction is usually “Why me?”, but the Bible tells us to rejoice in God’s will
[Philippians 4:4]
Rejoice in the Lord always;
and again I say, Rejoice

We should be thankful to the lord when he tries our patience as it is also a way of stenting our faith.
Second, wo look to understand why he has put is in the place we are in.
Sometimes God puts us in difficult situations so that we can be a witness. Other times, He might allow a trial for strengthening our character. Remembering that His purpose is for our growth and His glory will help us in any trial.
Third, we remember His promises such as

And we know that all things
work together for good to them
that love God, to them who are
the called according to his purpose
The natural response to people who criticise your actions or who slow you down or put you in difficult place is one of impatience which leads to stress, anger, and frustration.
Through devotion to Christ and by following his words we as saints do not have to be this way.
Instead, we have the Lord’s strength to respond with patience and in complete trust in Gods authority, control and purpose

glory and honor and immortality,
eternal life;
