The Field Is White

The Field is White

The field is white all ready to harvest,

But the labourers are few;

Be of good cheer when the work seems hardest,

The Lord is near unto you.

Bring the sheaves in and do not turn aside.

All must be done in this day,

Do your best work but beware of false pride,

Be honest, faithful and pray.

Waste no more time on vain, worldly pleasures.

This day is precious to live.

God is waiting with heavenly treasures,

Blessings the world cannot give.

Work with a zeal for the Lord in his field,

While the light of day is here,

Put all your effort into saving the yield.

The end of the day is near.

When the night has come let there be no regret,

That you did not do your part.

The Field is white but there is still time yet,

For those with a willing heart.
