The Power of Stress to help us Grow

Many people become stressed because they don’t trust God to provide the basic necessities of life. we worry about providing for ourselves and our loved ones. We stress over money because we never seem to feel that we have enough. We worry about making ends meet, often living paycheck to paycheck. Or we become consumed,by materialism and, in turn stressed-out about maintaining our lifestyle.

one example is Materialism.  this always  inevitably leads to stress because, when we seek the world’s goods and ultamtley just as aeverything the relief from Stress is tempory as is everything els in our physical world.

Many  have fallen for the “deceitfulness of wealth” (Mark4:16), the lie that such things relieve stress and lead to happiness, contentment and joy. They do not.

Mark 4 :16

And these are they who receive the word among thorns; such as hear the word, and the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

When we are stressed, prayer can release our tensions.

[Psalm 62:1-2]

Truly my soul waiteth upon God; from him cometh my salvation.

He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.

Stress that cannot be avoided and in reality it may help us grow in faith and character.

In this fast paced world of “everything instant” It is no wonder that many days we struggle trying to cope with the demads  that come from our jobs, our health or family issues.

God has created us and knows that, because of our natures, we can sometimes allow stress to rule our lives.

[Romans 5:3]

And not only this, but we glory in tribulations also; knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

We can rejoice, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us—they help us learn to be Patient Tolorant and Humble

the relisation helps to  develop strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady.

Stress on the outside need not mean stress on the inside.

[Philippians 4:6-7]

6 Be afflicted for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Its easy to say and hard to put into practice at first but we should not allow ourselves to be consumed with worry.; instead, we should pray about everything; tell God our needs, and don’t forget to thank Him. If we do this, we can experience God’s peace.

During stressful times, perfect peace comes when we keep our mind on the Lord.

[Isaiah 26:3]

3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusteth in thee.

The overriding point is that we are none of us immune to the outside pressures of the world but when we consider the words ..

[Romans 12:2]

And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God is..

we need to remember deling with stress on the outside is one of the challenges in life.  but though our Faith we can walk though this would of chaos and stress with an inner peac because we know where were heading and that our Lord is always looking out for us.
